Duty Now bring a great promise of all things prog’. They deliver. But
it’s what they deliver and how. Infected by the same backstreet influences
of DJG, Duty Nows vocals are sombre and broken, providing interludes between
great swathes of partially restrained instrumental passion...
Local quartet Duty Now are something of a odd hybrid. There’s a distinct
post-rock angle. Verse chorus verse is ejected from the window while meandering
progressive tendencies storm the front door...
An up-and-coming local band is set to take Manchester by storm with a
gig at the Music Box, Oxford Road on 10 November.
Duty Now is made up of Blackley-born drummer Sarah Unwin, who is just
19, as well as guitarist Matt Rabone, bassist Adam Comstive and vocalist/guitarist
